Tama, the Japanese Dog is an 1876 painting in the Impressionist style by the leading French artist Pierre-Auguste Renoir. This work is located in the Clark Art Institute in Williamstown, Massachusetts.

The dog depicted in this picture was almost certainly painted from life. Renoir, who was 35 years old when he pained this, manages to convey the playful mood of the animal and the admiring look of the dog at the owner.
