Rue Jouvenet in Rouen is an 1884 painting in the Post-Impressionist style by the leading French artist Paul Gauguin. This work is located in the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum in Madrid, Spain.
Paul Gauguin moved to Rouen where Camille Pissarro lived, in 1883, and spent almost a year there. This picture is a cityscape painting depicting the Rue Jouvenet which has a steep curve. We can see terraces of buildings on each side of the street, and people going about their day.
