Not to work Paul Gauguin

Eiaha Ohipa: Paul Gauguin

Eiaha Ohipa, or Not Working in English, is an 1896 painting in the Post-Impressionist style by the leading French artist Paul Gauguin. This work is located in the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts in Moscow, Russia.

This painting depicts two Polynesian women in a hut smoking, while we can see a man (presumably Gaugain himself) in the background painting outdoors. This painting symbolizes the relaxed lifestyles Paul Gauguin observed during his visits to Tahiti.
