Jean Honoré Fragonard: The See-Saw

In The See-Saw, painted between 1750 and 1755 we can see the Rococo concern with the fete galante or the scene of upper-class leisure. Jean Honoré Fragonard painted a number of similar paintings with sexual undertones, most notably The Swing some 15 years later in 1768.

Jean Honoré Fragonard’s The See-Saw is in the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum in Madrid.
