Henriette Sontag (1806–1854) was a celebrated German operatic soprano renowned for her exquisite voice and stage presence. Born in Coburg, she began her career as a child prodigy and gained recognition for her vocal talents in Europe. Sontag’s breakthrough occurred in 1821 at the age of 15 when she performed in Vienna.
She achieved international acclaim for her performances in works by Mozart, Rossini, and Beethoven. Her voice was praised for its purity, agility, and emotional depth.
