Winslow Homer: Peach Blossoms

Peach Blossoms: Winslow Homer

Peach Blossoms, an 1878 painting by American artist Winslow Homer has an obvious Japanese influence in the color and composition of this painting that shows a girl looking longingly out of the picture space. Sitting on a wall beside the peach blossoms, she perhaps marks the threshold between the rural American past and its industrialized present.

Winslow Homer’s Peach Blossoms is in the Art Institute of Chicago in the United States of America.
