The Portrait of Princess Karoline of Liechtenstein is a 1793 painting by French artist Élisabeth Louise Vigée-Lebrun. This painting is in the Liechtenstein Museum in Vienna, Austria.
This is a portrayal of Karoline in the guise of Iris, the classical messenger goddess who intercedes between humanity and the gods. We see her aloft with her stole fulfilling the part of wings, as if in flight to Mount Olympus, the home of the gods.
